The people of St. Paul's have a history of faithfulness in many ways, and for that we give thanks. Thank you especially for your faithfulness through the different ups and downs of the last nine months. Please know that your offerings are needed, and that your congregational leadership has a history of handling your offerings faithfully as well. Your offerings help us to do the work of this congregation well and in the name of Jesus. Thank you.
On St. Pauls’ Facebook page you will find prayers every morning at about 8:30am, and Service of the Word (with a sermon based on the gospel) posted every Sunday morning. Our Facebook address is https://www.facebook.com/stpaulsuniontown
Al Langley, Property Manager, updated Council on Tuesday Evening on the status of the roof replacement work. This work is a continuation of the work performed last year by Raimondo Construction whereby they performed necessary brickwork replacement, repointing mortar joints and sealing the entire brickwork. It was thought and hopeful that this work would be sufficient to seal the wet weather from accessing the inside of our nave. We learned that this was just the first step in keeping our Church building dry. Al Langley researched roofing contractors in the greater Uniontown area and found Donald M. Miller, Inc had a solid reputation in commercial roof work and solicited a roof replacement proposal. This matter was brought up at our Annual Congregational Meeting last Sunday whereby it was voted to advance this work. As a follow-up, Al and Don Miller signed a contract this week for $66,000 to replace all roofs except the roof over the Chapel. We have been assured that we are in line to be among the first jobs when Spring arrives.
